Terms of Service

Welcome to DigiKaragir. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and DigiKaragir Technologies Private Limited ("DigiKaragir", "we", "us" or "our") and govern your access to and use of our mobile application, website and related services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

“Customer” means a user who books home services through the Platform. “Provider” or “Professional” means an independent service provider who offers services through the Platform. “Visit Charge” means the amount a Provider charges to attend and perform a service. “Recharge” means the fee a Provider pays to us for visibility on the Platform.

“Visit Shield” means our door-verification feature that requires a Provider to enter a Customer's PIN within a geofence of the Customer's address.

2. The nature of our service

DigiKaragir is a technology platform that connects Customers with independent Providers. We are an “intermediary” under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We are not the provider of the home services, and we do not employ Providers. Providers are independent third parties who are solely responsible for the services they perform.

The contract for services is directly between the Customer and the Provider. DigiKaragir facilitates discovery, booking, tracking and safety features, but is not a party to that service contract.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract to use the Platform. You must register with a valid mobile number and provide accurate, current and complete information.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your device and login secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Provider verification and obligations

Providers must complete identity verification (KYC), which may include Aadhaar-based verification and live face matching, before accepting bookings. Providers represent that they hold any skills, licences or permissions required by law to perform their services.

Providers set their own Visit Charge, must honour the scope agreed with the Customer, must conduct themselves professionally and safely, and must verify the Visit Shield PIN at the Customer's door.

5. Payments, Visit Charge and Recharge

Customers pay Providers directly for the Visit Charge and any agreed work. DigiKaragir does not collect the Visit Charge and does not charge Customers any booking fee or commission.

DigiKaragir charges Providers a Recharge fee for time-bound visibility on the Platform. Recharge fees are described in the app, are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated, and may change from time to time. Recharge payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

6. Bookings, cancellations and no-shows

Both Customers and Providers may cancel a booking within the stages and windows shown in the app. Repeated cancellations, no-shows or misuse may affect your standing on the Platform.

7. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct

You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; misrepresent your identity, skills or eligibility; harass, threaten or discriminate against any person; post false or misleading reviews; attempt to bypass safety features such as Visit Shield; scrape, hack, or interfere with the Platform; or solicit users to transact outside the Platform's safety framework in a way that evades verification or protections.

8. Ratings, reviews and content

You may submit reviews, photos and other content. You are responsible for your content and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display it in connection with the Platform. Content must be genuine, lawful and not infringe others' rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.

9. Safety and Visit Shield

Visit Shield, live tracking, KYC and emergency contacts are provided to improve safety, but no system can guarantee outcomes. You remain responsible for exercising your own judgement and taking normal precautions when inviting a person into your home or entering a customer's premises.

10. Third-party services

The Platform relies on third parties such as payment gateways, KYC providers, mapping and messaging services. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform and the services performed by Providers. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiKaragir and its officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for the acts, omissions or conduct of any Customer or Provider. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DigiKaragir from any claims, losses or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or engage in fraud or abuse. You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time from within the app.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and the parties may seek to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing formal proceedings.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or website. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Grievance Officer and contact

For any complaint or grievance, you may contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@digikaragir.com. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. For general queries, email us at support@digikaragir.com.
