DigiKaragir Technologies Private Limited ("DigiKaragir", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It is designed to be consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
Account information: your mobile number, name, and role (customer or provider). Location information: your device location and the addresses you save, used to match you with nearby professionals and to enable tracking and Visit Shield.
Provider information: identity verification (KYC) data such as government-ID and live face verification results, business details, service area and portfolio images.
Transactional information: bookings, statuses, Visit Charges you agree with providers, provider Recharge and coupon activity, and support tickets.
Device and technical information: device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, and basic diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use your information
To provide the service: creating your account, matching customers with providers, enabling live tracking, Visit Shield verification, notifications, and processing provider Recharge payments.
To keep the platform safe: verifying identities, detecting and preventing fraud, enforcing our Terms and Community Guidelines, and protecting users.
To improve and support: understanding how features are used, resolving issues, and responding to your requests.
To communicate: sending you booking updates and important service messages by push and SMS.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate uses permitted by law such as safety and fraud prevention. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, though some features may then be unavailable.
5. Location data
Location is used to show nearby professionals, enable live tracking during an active booking, and verify the Visit Shield PIN within a geofence of the address. The app operates in the foreground for location; you control location permissions from your device settings and can revoke them at any time.
6. How we share information
Between a customer and their assigned provider, we share only the limited information needed to complete a booking — such as approximate location and contact for the active job.
With service providers who work on our behalf: KYC and identity-verification partners, payment gateways, cloud hosting, mapping and messaging providers. They may access data only to perform services for us and are bound to protect it.
For legal reasons: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of users, the public or DigiKaragir.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. Family tracking links
When you share a live-tracking link, the recipient can view a limited, curated view of an active booking (such as location on a map and status). These links do not expose sensitive details such as PINs, and they expire.
8. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data, except records we must retain for legal, tax, accounting, safety or dispute-resolution purposes.
9. Data security
We protect data with encryption in transit, secure token-based authentication, access controls and audited payment flows. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may access and correct your profile information, manage saved addresses, contacts and favourites, control notification and location permissions, and delete your account from within the app. You may also request information about how we handle your data by contacting us.
11. Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or website. Please review it periodically.
13. Grievance Officer and contact
For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@digikaragir.com. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
